- Stop by Trader Joe’s for cheaper pre-packaged meals and snacks than Kroger. My favorite is the Vegan Spinach & Cashew Ravioli, which is $4 per package.
- Grab lunch at Ghassan’s or any of the variety of local, immigrant or minority-owned businesses.
- Whole Foods’ bakery has desserts and seasonal fruit like a vegan carrot cake cupcake and an extra large Keitt mango, the best variety.
- If American desserts are too sweet for you, Dong Phuong Oriental Market has plenty of Vietnamese classics.
- Pick up banh mi for the trip home across the street at Banh Mi Saigon Sandwiches & Bakery. They recently added a vegetarian beef and vegetarian chicken banh mi to their mayo. Hold the mayo for a vegan sandwich.
- Thirsty? Tea Lala Che & Boba is right next door.
- Finish grocery shopping at Super G, where you can find more traditional Tawianese-style bubble tea at Gongcha inside.
